Synopsis (goodreads):

Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose…

It’s winter break at St. Vladimir’s, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy’s crawling with Guardians—including Rose’s hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if hand-to-hand combat with her mom wasn’t bad enough, Rose’s tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason’s got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa’s head while she’s making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy’s not taking any risks… This year, St. Vlad’s annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price…

Review:

The second installment in the Vampire Academy series was even more EPIC than the first. Personally i liked this one better than the first book. There was so much happening that i was hooked.

Even though the book slowed down in parts, each part was important and lead to something more. Rose was even more entertaining in this novel, though some of her decisions really made me angry. But i get how we are all human or dhampir in her situation and they too tend to make wrong decisions.

Just like its predecessor, this book too had major action, more so actually. The ending was beyond EPIC! I LOVED it. But i know that the series is far from over and more just waits me.

Grab your copy! And if you’re new to this series, what the hell are you waiting for?

  2. So is it bad if I’m now shipping Rose/Christian? Because it’s the only relationship that isn’t totally boring?
I’m super bummed Christian and Lissa hooked up in the last book. They should have dragged that out more.

In My Opinion
