Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – a furry problem!

The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Other Tales of TerrorDr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, a book i read when i was much younger, became my favourite. Honestly, back then i did not fully understand what the novel was about, today after reading it again, i understand it much better.

The book is very much about controlling and releasing the beast within. The concept behind the story was very much real – how someone chooses the evil side because they enjoy all that they can accomplish. Amusingly, i thought the book was about Dr. Jekyll turning into a werewolf, which i must admit gave birth to my interest in all things werewolf, but it was so much more. Mr. Hyde is not a completely separate character, but an alter-ego of Dr. Jekyll himself.

Jekel Loves Hyde

I just recently read a retelling of the classic novel called Jekel Loves Hyde byBeth Fantaskey and thoroughly enjoyed it. It caters to us young adults and it too talks about giving in to the evil within us.
