Q. How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen? or If you are still a teen what new genres are you in love with currently?
Fantasy novels played a huge role in my pre-teen and early teen years. I guess Harry Potter had a role in that, but i was really more inclined towards novels that spoke of imaginary places and creatures that could talk.
Then i went through the Meg Cabot phase. That phase seems to have simmered down a bit but i still love her novels a LOT! This was the time that i was devouring her books in one day and then going to buy more the very next. I don’t know why, but her books gave me an outlet to run away (for some time, at least) the bad news that had struck my family that year.
Then came the Twilight craze. Many of us are still going through that. It was then that i fell completely and utterly in love with Edward Cullen. Everything he did was swoon worthy and very soon i wanted my own Edward. But guess what happened next? I started reading Twilight the very year the movie was to be released. I had finished the series and when the movie came i was thoroughly disappointed. Over the years, the movies have improved but the choosing of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to play Edward and Bella, just put me off them. Then i realised that i had a love for Jacob Black and everything werewolves. Thats when my love for everything werewolves.
Currently i am in love with contemporary young adult fiction. Really awesome! Its something i can easily relate to and i have an awful lot of fun just reading them.
